fender bassman tube
’66 Fender Bassman Question?
Just got a ’66 Bassman w/matchin cab…in premo condition…all hardware good tolex etc… One problem
The amp buzzes and hums when i turn it on…even w/no instrument plugged in the jack…
Does this sound like a tube issue? I pulled the chasis and the capacitors look good…the tubes don’t match was thinking that might be the issue?
Anyone have recomendations on replacement tubes? I’m hearing the GT 6L6 GE’s are good…..any thoughts???

definitely sounds like an issue with the tubes and the GT 6L6 are a good choice…you want regret going with those
