guitar amplifier comes from the head or the cabinet?

A Fender amp head with a cabinet fender amp sound like a Fender head with a Marshall cabinet? That component or do both contribute to the tone of the amp?

Both head and cab to affect the sound, and you can mix and match to your liking. For example, you could have a tube or solid state, and a cabin that is open back, closed back, 4×12, 2×12, ported, not adapted, different speakers, etc. Even the majority of cases the type of wood: the particle board, but some boutique are high-end cabin cabinet grade wood. It's fun to experiment!
