Bass amp settings, i need advice please?

I have a Korean copy of a fender precision bass and a Kics USA amp. i know my stuffs cheap but i need help getting the best out the amp. there are 5 knobs on it- volume, treble, middle, mid freq, bass. I dont really know what some of those knobs do, so if anyone out there can give me a good setting for those knobs it’d really be helpful. thanks.

and by the way, each of the knobs go to 10, maxed.

Obviously, the volume knob adjusts how loud you are.

The bass, middle and treble knobs are your equalization. Turning those knobs up and down will adjust which frequencies are boosted/cut. Try putting every knob flat (straight up), and experimenting with different combinations of frequencies. You don’t want to completely cut any frequency, or your sound will be lacking something; you also don’t want to completely boost any frequency (no, not even the bass), because your tone will be imbalanced and may sound boomy (too much bass), mushy (too much mid) or harsh (too much treble).
