Is this the problem with my brothers amp broken? (This is the circuit)?

k check this out, the brother of my Fender amp has exploded a fuse and when we put a new fuse that blew the moment .. apparently, as we have seen online, this is common with the amp model you have. so I was able to get a schematic diagram of the amplifier and this is what came up: http://www.manualnguide.com/dl/10178/ you have to click the download and view button near the top in parts look CR5 and CR6 near the main amplifier chip near the bottom. I have found in the actual circuit board that these diodes were completely shot. i tested them with a 9V battery and my multimeter and the current flowing in both directions with no more than half a brownout. these diodes effectively avoid shorts right? so because they do not, this is what caused the fuse and still keep blowing? and if I can replace these diodes with either a higher current / voltage (Tho I think the 23 volts that is the current that blew it up) that will solve the problem?

CR5 and CR6 protect the amplifier output power disposed higher than the supply rails by the inductive "kick" of the speaker and the fact that he also acts as a generator. CR5 and 6, are 1N4003 reverse nominal 200 volts 1 amp continuous. You can try to replace them with 1N5402. (Www.digikey.com)
