Whats wrong with my amp and how can i fix it?

I have a fender frontman 15r amp and changed the plastic knob on the gain dial a few months ago, although i think i must of pulled the actual dial out when i was pulling the knob off and the dial now has to be taped down securely with duct tape or the amp sounds absolutely terrible. Any ideas what the problem is and how i could repair it?

Sound like you broke the potentiometer.
You should be able to order a replacement from Fender or a Fender Dealer, If you know how to use a solder iron and braid and are up to it you can do the job yourself, or take it to a local repair tech.
