What MIDI Cable to use with Fender G-DEC amp?
So I have a Fender G-Dec 30 guitar amp and I am wondering what MIDI cable to get for it. I looked through the booklet and the forums and all that, but nothing useful there.
I’m not looking for an interface (unless its inexpensive like under $100).
I have a new (2009) MacBook Pro w/ Snow Leopard and a 2007 MacBook. And Garage Band and Logic Express.
So, if anyone has this amp and/or computer setup and has recommendations, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I just basically am looking for the best usb-MIDI cable that goes from the G-DEC to the laptop

by the sounds of it you have no midi output on your mac., i.e one on an external soundcard/external midi interface so you need someway to send the midi messages from your mac to your amp. your best option is a usb to midi cable. There are plenty available but Id recommend the m audio usb midisport, it costs $39 from amazon (check the link below). There are cheaper alternatives but I own this product and a couple of other m audio products and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
