Help me identify my Fender Stratocaster body?

Ok, I recently bought what is supposed to be an American body start 1980 with a fender U.S. lead II neck 1982. I know that the necks of truth, but it can help someone with the body? the blue glow of a placid lake end, S / S / S collection design, the bridge is American, but the cavity of the neck has "ST" stamped on it. Ive heard from some people that only certain bodies squier ST have stamped on them. I hope someone can help!

Hello! Although I can not give a definitive answer, I can say that "ST" in itself does not indicate country of origin. If you check some of the User Forums (http://www.fenderforum.com/, http://www.strat-talk.com/ and http://www.stratocastertalk.com/), you find several threads dealing with body markings. Funny, my 1993 Stratocaster has a date, the name of an employee, and several other undecipherable letters, while my 2008 model has nothing! Sorry, wish I could have been more helpful.
