Should I upgrade my pills or buy a new guitar?

I have an Ibanez GSR 205 bass and guitar Dean XMT. Im hoping to get a Fender Jazz Ameican V and an American start soon, but I have a lot of money. Should I upgrade my pickups, bridges, pegs, buy guitars in an intermediate range between the guitars guitars I have and I or save for a while and only buy American models.
