How to put a pickup guard on a 70′s reissue Fender Jazz Bass?

Does anyone know if I can put one of those old school pick up guards on a 70′s reissue J Bass? I’ve had one for a while and I love the look the pick up guards add to it, I’m afraid to tear up the body adding screw holes and what not. Thanks.

Just buy an orignal pickguard and screw it in place. You won’t damage anything whatsoever. I am a Luthier and have done it 1000′s of times.
