fender 60th anniversary telecaster

I currently have a newish Fender Squire I’ve had it for a while now but I was wondering if I should buy my dads brand new fender 60th anniversary Fender Stratacastor or should I buy A telecaster? HELPPPPP
ive been playing for quite some time now, and to be honest im not that impressed with strats, or fenders in general. but if i had to own/play one of them i would choose the telecaster all the way. with that you can play a wide variety of music. ive seen it in country, pop, rock, and even metal!
it plays well, and its very dependable.
