fender 50's stratocaster

The Stratocaster electric guitar offers a unique sound due to its combination of single coil pickups and bolted on maple neck. There are probably more variations of the Stratocaster than any other guitar you can think of. Just like Epiphone does for Gibson, Squier is the port of entry for those starting out or upgrading from a lower guitar.

There a plenty of Stratocaster choices by Squire but one that I’m really impressed by is the Stratocaster Classic Vibe 50′s. The other day visiting a music store I had a chance of testing it after being advised many times by the store tech to do so.

He knows that I’m a big fan of the Fender Classic 50′s and we were both impressed of how close this guitar is for almost half the price.

Epiphone Les Paul Studio Worn Review

Any player that’s into rock probably knows what a Les Paul guitar is. But the price of a Gibson guitar is also well known for its triple digits. Even though they’ve recently started to offer a couple of Les Paul Studio guitars for less than $1,000 they are still very close to that mark.

Epiphone have been offering authorized Les Paul guitars for decades now. Their quality have fluctuated through the years but it’s been fairly consistent since they started making their instruments in a privately owned facility in China. This guitar is an exact replica of the Gibson that I’ve owned for almost 6 years.

I’ve tested many units of this Epiphone and I’m always surprised of how close it feels to mine for half the price. This guitar is not exactly 100% the Gibson Les Paul that most people know, with a maple top. This one is all mahogany but still is an excellent sound for rock music. Mr. Les Paul himself often favored an all mahogany Custom.
