fender 12 strings
12-string acoustic guitar. Need information?
I was in my local musical instrument store yesterday. He picked up a cheap 12-string Fender Rock of curiosity since I've never played one. To my amazement, it sounded like heaven to my ears. I was playing his blues-based riffs, without adding, of course, bends and chords 7 etc. .. Now the questions. 1. How long will the neck before they hold up to warp? 2. How much of a problem to tune this thing? 3. Due to problems of deformation of the neck would be better to buy low cost? $ 300 vs $ 600 4. Anyone who plays a regular and how long before the merchandise out of the news?
Many people tune in a chain of 12 set down a step, which DGCFAD to reduce tension in the neck. Of course, many modern strings 12 are designed to take the stress increased (Taylor, for example), but with a less expensive one may not be better to have a chance. Tuning a string of 12? Many of the jokes about it, but really not that bad, especially with an electric tuner. I love 12 strings .. and have more than 30 years. Not yet disappeared.
