fender 12 string strat

Is it relatively easy to learn to play a 12 string guitar?
I found a 12-string guitar in the back of my dad’s studio (and [god forbid] a banjo), and I’m wondering if it’s relatively easy to play. I’ve dinked around with some of my dad’s acoustics and the new strat he saved from a pawn shop (dubbed the “White Old B!tch” because of the manufacturing year), but it’s come out fruitless. I’ve had ease with the Fender J Bass that he saved from a different pawn shop, but guitars seem to be a challenge to me.
Any help? Thanks, your answers are always appreciated!
If you already can play a 6-string, it’s not gonna be as hard as if you’ve never touched a guitar before. Since you’ve played around with your dad’s acoustic.. I am pretty sure you know how a guitar works.
A 12 string is pretty much like a 6 string.. but you have to play 2 strings with one finger.. basically, you are just doubling up. It isn’t too hard, once you get adjusted.. it’s just like a 6 string. It’s definitely not easy, but what is? You would have to work hard to get a good sound on it, but well worth it. Sound is great! Hope I helped.
