all owners of SG … help please?

Well, I just bought a very nice Epiphone G400 and am having trouble getting used to the lower neck when loose. I realize that it is well done and the neck is heavy, but I realized how Angus Young minimizes neck dosent … Is it because the difference in the PAI and Gibson? Is there any solution to my problem other than keeping the neck by hand? Thank you very much.

I have a Gibson SG and you're right: are very neck heavy guitars. No difeerence between Epi and Gibson in this regard. It's just the way all SGS. One solution is to move the neck strap neck pin back in town at the tip of the dorsal horn. That balances things a little better I've heard. Tony Iommi that. However, you can see in this clip from YouTube that Angus not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en7EKL1pX5w only other solution I've heard is to get a wide leather belt which is really hard on the bottom so that it sticks to you when you play the guitar up and is less prone to neck dive. Sorry, but I play sitting down, so not really a problem for me.
