Buying replica guitars (chinese fakes) in Thailand?
I was wondering if anyone knows the best place to buy replica guitars in Bangkok Thailand?
I live in Veitnam and a local dealer wants $600USD for a knock off Les Paul Gibson which I think sounds excessive. So I would like to have a look when I go to Thailand in January.
I am just wondering how much I would be looking at to purchase one.
It really depends on the quality of the guitar. Some replicas have a very solid build along with quality components and are constructed very well. However some are the exact opposite. It can sometimes be difficult to assess the quality without taking a look inside which can make it difficult. Often you get what you pay for but this is not always the case and you may be getting ripped off. You should inspect the replica thoroughly and also listen to the sound and feel of the guitar and decide for yourself what it is worth. Unfortunately thats all the advice i can give you without looking at the guitar you are considering.
