chinese gibson guitar
Are Gibson electric guitars made in China today?

I read an article online that says some electric guitars Gibson actually happens, in large part by Chinese factories before Tey are "finished" here in the U.S. Is this true? Gibson grew up believing were made in the USA!

True. But it's the same with almost any brand of guitar. Just be sure to say "Made in USA" because most of them are not. Manufactured in the United States are generally better and prices.

  1. Absolutely not true. I work for Gibson, 18 years.

With the exception of a few Acoustic guitars that we built in Canada a few years ago, if it says Gibson, it is built in the US. Nashville, Memphis, Bozeman.

Start to finish. You can find video of our factories on You Tube.

Some metal parts may come from Europe or Asia, and of course the wood comes from around the world.

But contrary to your information, 100% made in the US.

We built our own Epiphone factory in China which is managed by Gibson USA people. But the Chinese factories are 100% Epiphone production. (and really good)

Would like to know what article it is that you read
