Gibson SG question: used standard or new special?

Ok so i’m in a bit of a pickle here, i hope people can pleaseshe some light on this… I usually play hard rock, classic rock, grunge and lots of heavy metal (well varied I know, too varied? Perhaps. And don’t even mention strats please, i know they’re versatile but i got one already, don’t need another ;) ) and the Les Paul’s are too abundant. Everyone has one and I like to stick out. Also I prefer to play teh SG due to its shape. Don’t get me wrong, teh LP’s are a dream to play standing up but i detest the high frets due to the body-fret connection being very high. The SG is easier to play in that sense i think.

So anyway, I’ve got a marshall mg100DFX ( if that is in anyway relevant…) and i was wondering what you guys would recomend: Should i buy the SG special brand new or the slightly more pricey used SG standard? If i had to choose, it’d be the standard hands down, sounds better, easier to play in my opinion and just feels a lot better than the special. Please help!

Why are you asking us? It is your choice isn’t it. You’ve already answered your own question but thanks for the 2
