Should I buy Fender Stratocaster or a Gibson Les Paul?

Any help would be greatly appreciated in that the guitar should I buy?

I would choose a Gibson Les Paul, but depends on the style you want to play, if you want to play blues rock, like Richie Kotzen, Jimi Hendrix or SRV Fender is better, I do not know if I would choose the stratocaster, telecaster I like better. Anyway, between these two definitely a Les Paul
