bicycle fenders

Ball bearings fell out of bicycle…I need help!?
I bought a Huffy cruiser-style one speed bike about a month ago to get back and forth from my local job. I decided to take the fenders (I believe that’s what they’re called, I’m no bike expert) off because the front wheel seemed to be hitting it lightly and making noise. Once that one was removed, I decided to take the second one off. After finally getting it off, I turned the bike back right side up and two ball bearings seemingly fell out. I’m not a bike expert so I don’t know where they came from, but when I ride my bike now it seems it kind of “pops” when I pedal…ie, when I pedal, it’s almost as if it gets stuck and has to pop forward. The brakes also slipped on me when I decided to see if they still work. The bike looks like (aside from mine not having the fenders anymore) the one pictured here: http://www.huffybikes.com/bikes/comfort/1.jpg
Please help me! I need this bike for work and I don’t want to be had by a shop pay more than the bike cost me to fix it!

Hi Jeff…
Unfortunately it will probably cost more to fix than the bike cost new, but this can’t be diagnosed over the internet.
Take it to a shop and ask them to look at it. A diagnosis should just take a few minutes and should only cost $5 or so, if anything.
