Guitar Distortion Advice, Needed Please!?

ok well ive played guitar for the past 8 years or so, however ive played mostly acoustic and very little with my recently purchased american fender tele. what i would like to know is how can you go about achieving distorted sounds like certian bands have like Fall Out Boy, yes i like F.O.B and if your going to criticize me for that then please dont bother replying to this thread. Thanks

well i cant say i like the band but everyones opinion is of value so i respect the fact that you are defending your band. good good lol.

anyway now to business. bands like that dont usually have to much crunch in their distortion. what you can do is go to their web site and find the equipment they use and then ask about those equipments and how to get that sound out of those equipments.

one problem is is because of studio modifications its very dificult to get the same sound as they do in studio. as it is with most bands. so you may have to settle with that.

if you dont want to spend money on all the stuff they have i suggest getting a combo. line 6, VOX, things like that. i dont wanna get into it considering i jsut did in another chat lol. so look at my posts. its a question about which amp to choose and i did it right b4 this one. so yeah lol
