2004 gibson sg special

Whats Better Gibson SG or a Marshall Half Stack?
Im not sure what to buy, a 2004 Gibson SG special Cream, or a Marshall Half Stack, my current rig is a Marshall MG15CDR and a Schecter Synyster Custom
You’ve got a 15w practice amp, right? And you want to spend a wad of cash on a nice expensive guitar? Are you serious?
Get an amp first, then a new guitar later. You might not even hear a difference between guitars with such a small amp, seriously.
Keep your living situation in mind, though – if you live in an apartment, a half-stack simply isn’t an option, even quiet is too loud with something like that.
I have a 65watt Marshall valvestate 1×12 combo and I can’t turn it over 4 during the day, and I can’t play it at all at night, it’s just too much amp. I can play a 15-watt almost any time of night or day, but the tone sucks by comparison. =(
The more watts you have, the louder you’ll have to turn up to make the amp sound “good”. Although everyone gravitates towards 100w amps, they almost always have to be turned up too loud to sound good, whether for practice or on stage.
So yeah, I’d buy a better amp, but pick carefully depending on what you want out of it. Get a 150w amp if you’re living in an apartment and expect to be evicted within the week, for example.
Play before you buy, always….
