Gibson SG Year Question?

I am looking at adding another Gibson Sg Standard to my collection. I don’t know what year to really get, mainly 1971 or 1970, any help could be appreciated on a great gibson sg standard year and a price for what it would cost, easy 10 points to any sg or guitar owner

It really doesn’t matter.

If they made 100 Gibson SG’s, the same model, same day, same factory, everyone one of those guitars will sound, feel, and play different. Every tree in a single forest is different.

That being said, old vintage gibsons are EXPENSIVE. To give you an idea, the vintage section of Guitar Center in hollywood has 69-71 sg’s for 15-30 thousand bucks.

Just play it before you buy it, and go with what feels right. BTW, I own 3 sg’s.
