How much is a 1954 Fender Stratocaster in equity playable condition?

My wife's uncle was a Canadian country music singer and songwriter in early 1960 to mid-1990 that he has retired, but has a 1954 Fender Stratocaster that is all original. Interested in knowing what it might be worth.

If in perfect condition and all original parts and paint job, about $ 40,000 is what we usually go.
